Lead Fluoride (PbF2) is a newly developed scintillation crystal, it has excellent stopping power for gamma rays, it is considered to be a new type of crystal used as an electromagnetic energy meter in the field of high energy physics. It also has optical application as its wide transmission range from 250nm to 11um.
