LBO

LBO crystal is an excellent nonlinear optical crystal for frequency doubling (SHG) tripling (THG) of Nd:YAG, Nd:YLF and Nd:YVO4 lasers, its transmission range is from 0.21 um to 2.3 um. It is one of the most useful nonlinear optical materials inultraviolet and visible laser applications, it allows temperature-controllable non-critical phase matching for 1.0-1.3 um, Type I SHG, and also provides room temperature NCPM for Type II SHG at 0.8-1.1um.

Broad transparency range from 160nm to 2.6um

High optical homogeneity (dn»10-6/cm) and being free of inclusion

Relatively large effective SHG coefficient (about three times that of KDP)

Wide acceptance angle and small walk-off
