¡¡¡¡BIBO (BiB3O6) is a newly developed Nonlinear Optical Crystal. It has advanced  characteristic for the NLO application. 
1.Broad transparency range from 286nm to 2500nm;
2.High optical homogeneity (dn»10-6/cm) and being free of inclusion;
3.Large effective SHG coefficient (about 9 times that of KDP);Non-linear efficiency is (about 2 times that BBO);
4.High damage threshold;
5.Wide temperature-bandwidth;Inertness with respect to moisture;
Applications
1.SHG and THG for middle and high power Nd:lasers at 1064nm;
2.SHG and THG of high power Nd: lasers at 1342nm & 1319nm for red and blue laser;
3.SHG for the Nd: Lasers at 914nm & 946nm for blue laser;
4.Optical Parametric Amplifiers (OPA) and Oscillators (OPO) application;
5.Over 2.8W cw 473nm blue output was achieved with type I BIBO for frequency doubling;
