Introduction:
Er:YAG is an excellent laser crystal which lasers at 2940nm, it is the most important work material with 3μm laser, unlike Nd:YAG laser, the output of an Er:YAG laser is strongly absorbed by water, 3μm wavelength of light absorption coefficient is 100 times larger than 2μm, 100 times larger than 1μm, so 3μm laser is widely used in medical systems, it has advantages of high slope efficiency, operate well at room temperature, operate in a relatively eye-safe wavelength range.
